Coronavirus (Covid-19)

How it will affect you and your fitness

All Gyms & Leisure Centres Closed

As of the evening of Friday 20th March 2020, the Prime Minister Boris Johnson, ordered the immediate closure of all gyms and leisure centres in an effort to further delay and prevent the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The UK government have recommended social distancing, meaning you should avoid contact with other people where ever possible, maintaining a minimum distance of 2 meters  at all times, unless they are people you live with.

You can also exercise from the comfort of your own home, with little or no equipment, using nothing more than your own body weight, and items of furniture around you.

Can I still have Personal Training?

Yes, you can still have Personal Training sessions, however at the moment all gyms & leisure centres are closed until the government lifts restrictions so that gyms can re-open, which isn't likely to be until July/August 2020, or later, depending on how successful home isolating is on slowing down the spread of Covid-19.

You should STAY AT HOME, however everyone is allowed outside to exercise once every day. Personal Training sessions are available in Manchester City Centre and the Ancoats/New Isslington area with myself. These can take place Outdoors and/or at your Home, providing the government rules are applied, and a minimum distance of 2 meters is kept between everyone at all times.

Outdoor Personal Training Manchester

Personal Training sessions outdoors can take place pretty much anywhere around the immediate city centre and locally surrounding areas.

If the weather is fair (not raining) we can train outside in local parks, fields, car parks, or where ever we can find space. Ancoats is an ideal place to train with diffeent types of terrain, such as steep hills, to offer hill training and other forms of training.

I will typically pack with me boxing gloves & pads, TRX suspension trainer, resistance bands and other bits of kit to use. You'll learn just how much you can do even with your own body weight and the things around you. You must wash your hands before and after every PT session, and not touch your face.
